These courses offer a deep dive into music theory and its practical application on guitar. The information we look at starts at the very basic level and builds incrementally into more advanced topics.
We start with the basic Rudiments of music theory in a short prelude to get us all on the same page. We move on to the major scale, analyzing what it is, why it is important and how to spell it in any key. We then look at minor scales and how to play these scales across the guitar neck. From there we dive into analyzing and playing triad chords.
To go Beyond the Basics of theory we break down intervals, four note chords, extended chords and the theory of how these chords function. We analyze the theory of modes, how modes work with chords and how to use them in a practical setting.
Each lesson is accompanied by a quiz, lists of things to practice and detailed documentation. Everything we look at applies regardless of musical genre and the lessons are animated to make things intuitive and fun.
